⚠️Language is important.
Maybe our self talk is stopping us from climbing the ladder of success.

🗣️One of the ways we hack ourselves is through our self-talk. Here are some language things to consider.
✅We don’t lose pounds, we release them. Saying ‘lose’ implies we are looking for them.
✅Same goes for I want to lose weight,
Be specific, it’s fat, not weight. You can lose a leg and lose weight is that what you want? Say I want to release fat.
✅We are not fat, we have fat. Knowing that difference is liberating.
✅You don’t ‘have’ to go to the gym you ‘get’ to go to the gym. You don’t say I ‘have to eat this pizza 🍕’
‘Get’ is A privilege and requires no willpower
‘Have’ is a chore and requires willpower
✅Don’t say ‘I can't say I’ll try.
✅Be careful with ‘I am or I have statements as you make them true. For example
I am carb intolerant, I’m fat, I am not good at running, macro tracking, maths, learning, weight training…etc
🧬I have bad genetics, and I have low willpower. Saying this makes it true, also saying the opposite also, makes it true.
✅These then become beliefs that don’t serve you. Just noticed how many times you say ‘I am and then ask yourself does this belief serve me? Is it true?
✅Level 2 see how often other people say ‘I am or ‘I have in negative or positive ways.
✅The last one for today is ‘I’ve been bad’ when referring to going off plan.
This isn’t bad, this is an off-plan feed. All this is is a higher calorie feed. By saying ‘I was bad.’ you drive up guilt. Which leads to more purging and binge behaviours.
⚠️I was bad at the weekend, therefore, I must punish myself at the gym.
Wouldn’t it be better to have some planned higher-calorie days without the side of guilt?
