šŸ•°ļø We know the path to success is consistency, which is, work over A period of time.


What you may not know,Ā is you donā€™t have time. We donā€™t have 52 weeks in a year.Ā 

One week is your aunt Selmaā€™s wedding, šŸ’’then you have 3-4 seasonal holidays. ā˜ƒļø1-2 weeks of illness. šŸ¦ Throw in a Nice vacation, šŸ–ļøyour birthday, šŸŽ‚your partnerā€™s birthday, and your kid's birthdays. šŸŽDonā€™t forget you need to try that new restaurant. šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³Then there are those weeks when you just need a fucking break. šŸ˜©

You have 30 weeks a year at best, and thatā€™s if you bounce back from all these events the next day, not restart on Monday.Ā 


WAIT!, I forgot the snow storm, šŸŒØļø the summer heatwave šŸŒžyouā€™ll definitely want a barbecue or two and donā€™t forget, Brenda is leaving work so you need to have a leaving party for her. šŸ„³itā€™s a lot.


šŸ¤” Have to think about your life.


You donā€™t have time... Moreover time doesnā€™t work linearly, let me explainā€¦ your body doesnā€™t work the same each session we are heavily influenced by circadian rhythm. ā„ļø Winter you is different from šŸŒž summer you, šŸŒø spring you is different from šŸ‚ autumn you, it takes timeā€¦ The time you donā€™t have.

Ā šŸ•°ļø it takes more time to readjust to different seasonal effects that influence, appetite, movement and nutrient partitioning. (I have a large in-depth post on winter gain)Ā 


We just donā€™t have as much time as we think. I donā€™t get after it, every day because Iā€™m disciplined and motivated. Itā€™s because I know I donā€™t have time. Iā€™ve been walking this path for 15 years and Iā€™m aware, aware of the next curve ball life may throw at me.Ā 


We have to be ready because we donā€™t always bounce back. So Iā€™m investing my time in being robust. Metabolically, mentally, and physically this will give you the best chance.Ā 


Ā Iā€™ll give you an example, one of my clients from years ago told me about his wifeā€™s experience with covid, she got super ill and needed brain surgery, which gave her two strokes. She is not in a good way.Ā šŸ’” This breaks my heart. They are overweight and out of time. Thereā€™s always hope, but it would have been easier 5 years ago.Ā 


One of my clients asks why Iā€™m so affected by this,Ā and my reply is, ā€œbecause I used to be them.ā€


I used to be overweight, have a huge pack of Doritos and dip with some sweets after my dinner and watch tv all night and not exercise.


Ā šŸ”®I didnā€™t need a Crystal ball to see where I was headed, I chose to accept FULL responsibility for my life. I changed overnight, the body took a little time to follow.Ā 


This is why Heath isnā€™t a journey, itā€™s a destination. Iā€™m not šŸ’Æ% šŸ’Æ% of the time however, over the last 15 years good decisions have compounded. Iā€™m now in a place of exceptional health.Ā 


You should have health, always. Health is where you should live.


Ā šŸ§™ā€ā™‚ļøThe secret is to Move forward when you can and hold the line when you canā€™t. Stop running 2 steps forward and 3 back when time is against you.Ā 


There is no better time to start than NOW!
